FRIED MEATBALLS (keftedakia )

FRIED MEATBALLS


keftedakia Greek meatballs
INGREDIENTS
1 kilo ground beef 
1 large onion finely chopped 
1/3 cup chopped parsley
1 egg
¼ cup olive oil
½ teaspoon salt, pepper
1 teaspoon cumin
 teaspoon oregano
2 teaspoons lemon juice
2 cups breadcrumbs  
All purpose flour ( optional )
olive oil 

Preparation
 In a large bowl add the beef and the rest of the ingredients,( except the flour ).
 Mix well. Traditionally here in Greece we knead the beef until all the ingredients are well combined, about 5-10 minutes.
 Cover the bowl and let it sit in the refrigerator for at least an hour. This will make a difference in the taste.
 Put olive oil in a frying pan and bring it to a boiling point. Make balls and fry them until they are brown.( roll the balls in the flour if you want Serve with salad and fried potatoes.
