Gheorghe
Hagi ( born in 1965 ) is the greatest Romanian football player of all times, known as "The
King of
Romanian
football." He is best scorer in the history of the Romanian national team
with 35 goals in 125 matches. He made his debut in the National League at seventeen.
He won three Romanian Champion titles with his team Steaua Bucharest, two Cups
and the European Super Cup. He playde for Real Madrid, Barcelona and
Galatasaray Istanbul, the team that won the UEFA Cup and UEFA Super Cup. He
played for the Romanian National team in three European Football Championships
(1984, 1996, 2000 ) and three World Cups (1990, 1994, 1998 ). He is included in
the World Cup team in 1994. After his retiring from football (2001 ) he
established "Gheorghe Hagi Football Academy " and he was also the
leader of the team Viitorul Constanta.
