Louis XIV, says the great king or The Sun King is a king of France was born September 5th 1638 and died on September 1rd 1715.

He ascended the throne at the death of his father, Louis XIII May 14th 1643. As he was only four and a half years old, his mother, Anne of Austria, became regent.

He is the 64th king of France and 44^th of Navarre.

His reign lasted 72 years. It was the longest reign in the history of Europe
