The movie Clody with a Chance of Meatballs is an animated science fiction comedy that tells us the story of Flint, a boy who lives in Swallow Falls with his father. Flint's father owns a shop that specializes in everything related to sardines, as sardines are the most important thing in Flint's town.

Flint loves inventing new things; thus, he invents a special spray to use in shoes, a new kind of animals called "ratbirds", etc. Flint’s inventions always end in a failure, till the day he invents something called "Flint Lockwood Diatonic Super Mutating Dynamic Food Replicator" (FLDSMDFR for short).This special machine can produce any kind of food you desire; the food will fall from the sky, so it's a very special creation. A very nice girl comes to the town to inform about all these incredible facts, Sam, a weather intern who becomes a very good friend to Flint. Flint really likes her, and she likes him too.

From this moment, everyone in Swallow Falls is happy, because they can eat any delicious thing they want. One day tasty hamburgers fall from the sky, the next day the whole town is full of ice-cream... Everyone is delighted and Flint becomes some sort of idol in the town.

Problems come into scene when Flint's FLDSMDFR stops working properly... huge food starts to fall from the sky and the situation is dangerous. Sam and Flint will have to face different adventures till they solve the problem, and everything comes back to normal again.

This movie was a great success when released in 2009, and it is based on the children's book of the same name written by Judy and Ron Barrett.
