Ratatouille

Written by Brad Bird, the same guy who wrote and directed „The Incredibles” and „The Iron Giant”, „Ratatouille” is a „Cyrano de Bergerac” kind of movie. If in „Cyrano de Bergerac” someone who can’t talk to women gets a „whisperer” with a poetic mind to feed him lines and win a woman’s heart, in „Ratatouille” the helper is a cute rat named Remy, who is helping Linguini cook in order to keep his job.

Remy is a rat that constantly puts his life, in the expensive French restaurant Gusteau, at stake and that not only because of his love for good food, but also because he wants to be a Chef like his idol, Gusteau.

Gusteau had a five star restaurant in Paris but he sadly passed away. The ghost of Gusteau advises Remy now and again what to do. Remy finds himself at some point in the old Gusteau restaurant where there is a new Chef who doesn’t know what he is doing. He even has some evil plan to take over the restaurant from Alfredo Linguini, who is the rightful heir to Gusteau.

The young Alfredo Linguini, who despite his lack of talent in the kitchen, gets a job offer to work in the famous restaurant of Gusteau. When Linguini discovers Remy´s talent they start working together and try putting Gusteau's restaurant back on the map.
