Edith Piaf


Édith Piaf is born Édith Giovanna Gassion the 19 December 1915 in Paris and she is died the 10 October 1963 in Grasse. She was appoint la Môme Piaf. She was a French music-hall singer. Small, she was raised by her grandmother (Emma Said Ben Mohammed). She recorded in 1936 first disk who knows success. She was companion to Marcel Cerdan. He was boxer but he died in a plane. She song “hymne à l’amour” and “Mon Dieu” for Marcel Cerdan. Since the death for Marcel Cerdan, she loved to not last that long but on 20 September 1952, she married with the French singer Jacques Pills in church Saint-Vincent-De-Paul in New-York. One year after, she was addicted of the morphine and alcohol. She divorced the same year. In 1959 she had a car accident, which maked the condition worse. In 1959, she collapsed to the scene and she had surgery. She married Théo Sarapo in 1962 eldery 46 years old. And she is died in 1963 because abuse of morphine and alcohol.
